Believe it or not, it took us 10 years to cross paths. I met Isaac's twin sisters, Kellie and Kendra, in the 8th grade. Although not best friends, we managed to keep in touch after all of us moved to different schools. At this time, Isaac was living in North Carolina with his mom, so we never had the chance to meet. Kellie and Kendra had been the ones to spark my interest of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It wasn't long until I was baptized and left to serve a mission in Wisconsin.
Upon returning home from my mission and my acceptance into BYU-Idaho, I took a trip to Utah to spend a few days before I started school. The first interaction I had with Isaac, was while he was under his blue Ford Focus trying to fix whatever problem it had (that car is loyal, but always gives us problems). He waved from under the car when Kendra introduced us, and went back to his job. It wasn't until later that evening that I finally had the chance to have a conversation with him. We talked about tattoos. Isaac is all about the art of tattoos, and was impressed that I had so many, being a Mormon and all.
Throughout my time while on that trip, I got to know Isaac a little more. He seemed to me like my friends nerdy little brother-that was it. He helped me pick out an outfit for a date I had set up, and when I came back from the date, we sat around and laughed at all of the horrible Tinder experiences he had. I found him easy to be around, and we got along like we had always been friends! Let it be said though, that is how the whole Forsgren family is-they just take you under their wing!
Isaac was off track that semester, but had friends in Rexburg he wanted to see. He decided to tag along when we drove up to the school to drop me off. Ever since then, it was rather consistent texts and snap chats, and we became buds.
Isaac will tell you he thought I was cute from the very beginning. I was clueless, and spent a few months going to Isaac with my guy problems and reaching out to him when I noticed he was feeling down. It didn't take much for either of us to realize that there was something special between us, and we decided to figure out what it was.
Our first official date ended up being a day at the mall, and a meal at red robin. We stopped by to see the Provo City Center temple, and the whole day was perfect. It certainly wasn't your typical date, because my best friend Kelsi was along for the ride. We had not seen each other in 2 years, and I figured having her meet my boyfriend was on top of the list of To-Do's anyway....

Isaac and I grew close as we attended school together, worked together, and spent every possible moment in each other's presence.
In August, Isaac's brother Ben got married and we both came to Utah for the weekend to be there. That wedding changed the face of our future. When Ben and Kim exited the temple, we both got a wave of spiritual emotion. Without realizing it, we both got the confirmation from the Lord that we needed to prepare to be sealed; and soon!

Isaac proposed to me on August 24th outside of the Rexburg temple. Promising me an eternal marriage full of love and happiness, we packed up and moved to Utah.

The happiest moment of my life, was kneeling across the altar in the Ft Collins temple. Nothing makes my heart flutter more than the memory of that precious day. As incredible as that whole day was, the temple was by far our favorite part.

Of course there are several details missing from our little story, but the end result is nothing short of a miracle. I cant wait to see what the future holds for us as Mr and Mrs!
